Anemoia
32xSoft pastel textures with a dreamy, nostalgic feel. Gentle colors and rounded shapes create a cozy, storybook-like atmosphere.

What Anemoia looks like on blocks

Those nine blocks are drawn straight from the texture files inside Anemoia itself, at 32x. Every pack on this site is rendered in the same nine positions, so lining Anemoia up against another render shows nothing but Anemoia's own art.

About Anemoia
glassdoiphin builds Anemoia as a cartoon pack, drawn at 32x. Anemoia redraws every default texture as bold outlines, flat saturated colour, and a hand-drawn storybook charm. The result is a bright, playful atmosphere. This is the range where Anemoia's extra detail is obvious but the frame counter barely reacts.
Its own signature comes through in how it paints the world in soft pastel tones, creates a dreamy, hazy atmosphere, leans into a cozy, comforting feel, and keeps every edge soft and gentle. Across terrain and buildings alike, Anemoia blocks are simplified into punchy shapes with strong colour blocking and cartoon-style shading, which is why Anemoia reads as a whole rather than a patch.
Anemoia runs on the compatibility side as Java Edition, across Minecraft releases between 1.20 and 1.21. Anemoia weighs 8 MB with low impact, so it lands best with builders who want the world to match their work.
In numbers: 32 by 32 per face works out at 1024 pixels, near enough 4 times the vanilla count. We have 3 versions of Anemoia on file, last refreshed 2025-03-08.
What Anemoia changes
With Anemoia active the game draws from a sharper 32x sheet. In detail:
- Textures arrive at 32x rather than 16x, so close-up surfaces hold detail the default art cannot.
- Pastel palette: shifts the colour palette to set the pack's signature tone.
- Soft edges: contributes to Anemoia's distinctive cartoon style across the world.
- Dreamy atmosphere: contributes to Anemoia's distinctive cartoon style across the world.
- Custom sky: ships its own skybox to match the pack's mood.
- Overall direction: blocks are simplified into punchy shapes with strong colour blocking and cartoon-style shading.
How to install Anemoia (Java Edition)
- 1Drop the Anemoia .zip (8 MB) from above into your resource packs folder (Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder) and move it into the selected column.
- 2Anemoia at 32x leans on connected textures and custom models, so OptiFine or Iris with its CTM extension is worth adding.

Performance & requirements
As an HD pack, Anemoia asks for a little more video memory than vanilla but remains light. Most mid-range GPUs run it at full frame rate; very old or integrated graphics may see a small dip in busy scenes.
The supported range runs 1.20 to 1.21. Stick to the newest of those on Java, though older saves rarely have trouble with it.
At 8 MB, the pack fits easily in memory on a modern machine, and giving Minecraft 4 GB of RAM or more keeps chunk loading smooth.
What is inside Anemoia
There are 2,997 texture files in Anemoia, of which 98 move: water, fire, portals and the rest of the things that never stand still. On top of that it defines 3,220 of its own models, which means part of what you see is a different shape rather than a repainted one.
The bulk of it sits in blocks (970 files), followed by items (505) and mobs and entities (485). Reading the width out of the files themselves, 947 of 1,475 block and item textures come in at 32 pixels, which is what the pack claims to be.
A connected textures set accounts for 434 of them. It only comes to life with OptiFine or an equivalent mod; without it nothing breaks, the seams between blocks just stay visible. Nothing about the audio changes in Anemoia, which matters if you have grown used to the vanilla sounds.

Anemoia is the brightest pack measured here
843 blocks carry Anemoia's artwork and 426 stay original, with bamboo, shelves and signs making up most of the gap. That leaves a pack that covers the old world thoroughly and the newer blocks patchily, which matters if you build with anything added in the last few updates.
The brightness figure is the striking one: 71.4 points above the original of the same block, the highest of any pack on this site and well clear of the runner up, while colour separation moves only 2.3 points. In plain terms it lifts everything toward white without changing which colours are there. 822 files sit at 32 pixels and 21 at 16, and 127 textures have no vanilla counterpart.
Anemoia FAQ

Is Anemoia free to download?
Yes, Anemoia is free: 8 MB is the whole Anemoia download. 32x textures are what Anemoia delivers, plus 2,997 texture files sit inside Anemoia. March 2025 is the Anemoia revision behind that button.

Which Minecraft versions does Anemoia support?
Glassdoiphin names 3 for Anemoia: 1.20, 1.20.4, 1.21. 1.21 is where Anemoia stops, plus 1.20 is the oldest Anemoia names, and March 2025 is when glassdoiphin last stamped the Anemoia list.

How much detail does Anemoia add?
1024 pixels fill one Anemoia face, against 256 in vanilla, and 947 of 1,475 Anemoia textures measure 32 pixels wide. 2,997 texture files sit in Anemoia altogether. 8 MB is what Anemoia weighs on disk.

What hardware does Anemoia want?
Anemoia wants mid-range hardware, plus glassdoiphin puts Anemoia at low impact. 8 MB of Anemoia fits inside most cards: integrated chips dip once Anemoia fills the screen.

What does Anemoia actually include?
Glassdoiphin lists 5 things for Anemoia: pastel palette, soft edges, dreamy atmosphere, custom sky and cozy vibe. 3,220 custom models give Anemoia new shapes, not only surfaces, plus 98 textures in Anemoia move rather than stand still, and glassdoiphin calls Anemoia cartoon, tagged pastel, dreamy, cozy.

Does Anemoia need OptiFine to look right?
Anemoia loads without it: 434 textures form Anemoia's connected set. Glassdoiphin built Anemoia assuming OptiFine or Iris, plus 32x art in Anemoia shows up regardless.

How do I install Anemoia?
Drop the Anemoia zip into resourcepacks, unchanged, plus 32x art from Anemoia wins the moment Anemoia sits above Default. 8 MB loads exactly as glassdoiphin packed it: 1.21 is the newest Anemoia build glassdoiphin names.

How big is the Anemoia download?
8 MB, the way glassdoiphin packages Anemoia. 98 animated textures sit in Anemoia. 1024 pixels per Anemoia face explain the rest, plus March 2025 is when Anemoia last grew larger.

Who makes Anemoia?
Glassdoiphin does. March 2025 is glassdoiphin's latest pass over Anemoia, and 1.20 through 1.21, 3 Anemoia versions in all, plus 2,997 Anemoia files carry their signature.

What is Anemoia best at?
Anemoia is cartoon, tagged pastel, dreamy, cozy by glassdoiphin. 5 Anemoia features are named, pastel palette first: 1024 pixels keep Anemoia sharp up close, and 2,997 Anemoia files back that up.

Does Anemoia need OptiFine?
To run Anemoia, no. To see Anemoia whole, partly: 434 of the 2,997 files inside Anemoia form a connected set, which OptiFine reads, or any mod speaking that format. Skip it and Anemoia still installs, still loads, still runs; those 434 keep their seams while the other 2,563 look right regardless, 98 of them moving. So the mod is worth it for walls and glass, and pointless for everything else Anemoia redraws.
